Private apps are installed as HubSpot private apps — scoped precisely to the permissions they need and nothing more. No listing, no public install link, no shared infrastructure.
- Scoped Every app requests only the scopes it needs. No blanket permissions, and no data access that the feature does not require.
- Deployed Installed directly into your account as a private app. There is no listing to find and no public install link to share.
- Maintained Updates are handled by us and deployed without disruption. Platform-version migrations are part of the app, not a separate project.

Private apps are deployed case by case. If you already run the Members Portal or Academy, you likely qualify. Prefer zero setup and full management? File Manager and Events also come as public apps.
